I arrived in Cambridge on Sunday morning and took a stroll through the pretty university city. Armies of bright yellow daffodils raised their golden trumpets heralding the arrival of Spring. Pale white cherry blossoms blushed pink, dropping their petals in a gentle confetti parade. The air was clean and crisp, and filled with the dulcet tones of a cheerful hymn from the nearby church. The waters of the river Cam, touched lazily by weeping willows and the poles of punts, reflected a hazy, greeny-blue sky.
I spent a few hours in the city centre: writing away in a cafe, perusing the outdoor market and visiting the shops. The place has a nice feel to it.
I'm currently staying at a bed and breakfast near the hospital I'm working at. I'll be moving into my new place on Wednesday night.
